Our list is getting bigger and
bigger all time . May be we cannot say with the
Beatles "It´s getting better
all the time" but certainly it´s getting bigger.
We get mails almost every day of
people who want to join the list some of them with a simple SUBSCRIBE, others
with kind and warm words that are always
welcome and...
needed
A dear friend from Mexico City, Francisco
Lozano, a materials developer and language consultant with Heinle and
Heinle wrote to us in connection with
SHARE 3 :
" Thanks, Omar
and Marina. Your message was a bright ray of sunshine on a very difficult
day!
Best,
Francisco Lozano "
Many other colleagues wrote to us. We thank them all. Elida Messina (whom
you might well remember from her Simon
and Schuster´s days) wrote a touching personal mail thanking us for SHARE 2. The contents of her mail is too
personal and moving to publish here but we only wanted to say how much we value her message and her
friendship.
We were planning to send you a
beautiful surprise on Sunday and that was going to be SHARE 4 ( now that
will have to wait ) because yesterday we got this mail from a dear colleague from Rosario, Maria del Carmen Rosso, whom I met in a two-day
course organized by that bunch of great friends we have at APrIR :
" Dear Omar,
I think that being Thanksgiving Day in
the USA it could be a nice day to say THANK YOU! for your seminars
which had given me powerful tools for analyses and for you lovely mails. I
wonder if you can remember who I am. In your last seminar in Rosario, I was
sittting on the second row, and I kept interrupting and giving opinions ( I
became a pain in the neck, sorry!) I want to share with you and Marina and the
rest of the mail list, if you want, a`poem I received yesterday from a cousin
living in the USA on Thanksgiving.
Love
María del Carmen "
We just LOVED
it and thought that you would love it too. Thanks Maria del
Carmen for your
words and for SHARING the poem with us all
Remember To be
Thankful For...
...the mess to clean after a party
because it means you have
been surrounded by friends.
...the taxes you pay
because it means that you
are employed.
...the clothes that fit a little too snug
because it means you
have enough to eat.
...the shadow who watches you work
because it means you are out
in the sunshine.
...a lawn that needs mowing, windows that
need cleaning
and gutters that need fixing
because it means you have a
home.
...all the complaining you hear about our
government
because it means we have freedom of
speech.
...the spot you find at the far end of the parking
lot
because it means you are
capable of walking.
...your huge heating bill
because it means you
are warm.
...the lady behind you in church who sings off
key
because it means that you can hear.
...the piles
of laundry and ironing
because it means you have
clothes to wear.
...weariness and aching muscles at the
end of the day
because it means you have been
productive.
...the alarm that goes off in the early morning
hours
because it means that you are alive.
...getting too
much email may bog you down
but at least you know you
have friends who are thinking of you.
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY
...!!!!!
All best wishes
Omar and Marina
