THE SHARE AWARDS
The SHARE awards are granted annually to educators for distinguished performance in the field of ELT in particular, and of education in general.
The SHARE awards recipients will be educators who have made a commendable contribution to the profession in the particular areas specified for each year

LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award aims at honouring a professional career that the Academic Committee has deemed to be meritorious and praiseworthy, not necessarily one that has met with extraordinary success, but one which deserves the profound respect of the ELT community.
LICENCIADA MARTA GRACIELA GARCÍA LOREA
Marta Graciela García Lorea has a vast experience in ESP, professional development, training and supervising EFL teachers at kindergarten, primary and high schools in public and private schools, institutes, factories, hospitals and companies. She has earned a Postgraduate degree from UNED (Spain) in Distance Learning and a graduate degree (Licenciada en la Enseñanza de Inglés), from CAECE University. She got a degree, cum laudae, as Teacher of English from INSP Joaquín V.Gonzalez, and when she was 16 she graduated from Escuela Normal en Lenguas Vivas Sofía Broquen de Spangenberg as a primary school teacher. She also holds a degree as Bachiller from Liceo N°1 “José Figueroa Alcorta".
She has been primary and secondary school teacher, head of Schools of Languages and Supervisor of English and Foreign Languages for the Ministry of Education, CABA and ELT consultant for renowned publishers.
As book writer, she has co-authored teacher´s guides 1-3 for the Mac Graw –Hill Inc. Co. kinder series "Bubbles" and "Sunshine" series, for Garnet, that comprises three levels (ages 3-5) and provides textbooks, activity books, visual and audio materials. In 2011, Sunshine was granted the highest international award for EFL book writers and material designers: The "Prince of Edinburgh English Speaking Union Award, Young Learners" from HRH Prince Philip, at Buckingham Palace (first Argentineans and Latin Americans to receive it).
In 2012, she designed the on line course for teachers and students on the Olympic Games, for the Connecting Classrooms project, British Council and Fundación Evolución.
As Director of the English Programme at the Instituto Universitario del Hospital Italiano, she has created, designed and developed a Blended Learning course for healthcare professionals. Aditionally, she has been facilitator for One Day in the Life, international project IEARN and storyteller at schools, Feria del Libro and Feria del Libro Infantil in BA.
Marta says that Teaching English and her family have been the pillars in her life, that Learning and teaching English have been a life- long path that she joyfully shares with her students and colleagues. She considers teachers as the building blocks of societies who have the most gratifying job that inspires and empowers others to communicate, developing their talents in a warm and motivating environment. Thus, teaching poses a permanent challenge to keep updated and willing to adapt strategies to enhance students’ learning process and personal development, which, in turn, enriches teachers’ lives.
SCHOLARSHIP AND ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Academic Committee will bestow this award on an educator who has given evidence of extraordinary dedication to systematic study and the promotion of knowledge and learning.
LICENCIADO GUSTAVO MIGUEL PAZ
Gustavo was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (University of Reading, UK). He graduated as a Traductor Público Nacional, Universidad de Buenos Aires and as a Profesor de Inglés, Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Dr. Joaquín V. González”. He also holds a degree of Licenciado en Educación, Universidad Nacional de Quilmes and a Certificate of Master-Practitioner in the Art of Neurolinguistic Programming as applied to Education, Resourceful Teaching Institute. He is a tenured lecturer in Didáctica Específica at ISP Dr. Joaquín V.Gonzalez and Instituto del Profesorado Sagrado Corazón, and English coordinator at CIBADIST (Distance Teacher Training College) and Head of the English Department at Limerick School. He has written the new English curriculum for secondary education for the Buenos Aires Province. He has co-authored the book “Construyendo puentes hacia otras lenguas: reflexiones sobre la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras en la escuela media” (Editorial La Crujía, 2009).
